Baseball Library and Imagine Sports Form Strategic Partnership

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 3, 2008 -- Imagine Sports, Inc. (www.ImagineSports.com), a leading online multiplayer sports gaming company, today announced a strategic partnership with BaseballLibrary.com (a unit of The Idea Logical Company, Inc.), the leading independent destination for baseball history and analysis. Under the terms of the partnership, the companies will share and co-develop content related to baseball history as well as issues regarding the current MLB season and players. As part of the deal, the companies will promote each other's content and products, and Imagine Sports' highly-proclaimed Diamond Mind® games will become the "Featured Game Partner" of Baseball Library.

"We are excited about this partnership," said Mike Shatzkin, Founder and CEO of Idea Logical. "Diamond Mind Baseball is the best baseball simulation, so working with ImagineSports provides us with an opportunity to explore various aspects of baseball history in really unique ways."

"Our Diamond Mind games allow fans to explore baseball's glorious past as well as the game of today, and Baseball Library has done a wonderful job of connecting baseball's past to its present," added Dayne Myers, founder and CEO of ImagineSports. "This relationship with Baseball Library will enable us to create more content and game features for our growing fan base of baseball enthusiasts."

Under the terms of the partnership, Baseball Library and ImagineSports will share existing content and jointly develop new content. The writers of Baseball Library will be able to re-examine various baseball events and players from the past as well as today's game using Imagine Sports' Diamond Mind PC and online games, the most authentic and statistically-accurate baseball simulation games available. Diamond Mind Online allows game-players to compete like a real baseball general manager, including drafting players, setting lineups and making trades. Utilizing the Diamond Mind Baseball software game engine developed and refined over the course of 20 years by renowned baseball statistics expert Tom Tippett, Diamond Mind Online is widely regarded as the most sophisticated and accurate baseball simulation game available. In the newly-released beta version of Diamond Mind Live, users can manage a game in progress against another human opponent or against the computer manager.

"We're looking forward to developing content based on the Diamond Mind software and its ability to re-create history," said Richard Lally, Editor-in-Chief of Baseball Library.

In celebration of the partnership, Imagine Sports will be offering all fans free trials of Diamond Mind Live on their website at: www.imaginesports.com. In this first version of the game, fans will be able to choose from historical teams like the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers, as well as current teams from baseball's modern era.
