A link exchange (also known as a banner exchange) is a confederation of websites that operates similarly to a web ring. Webmasters register their web sites with a central organization, that runs the exchange, and in turn receive from the exchange HTML code which they insert into their web pages. In contrast to a web ring, where the HTML code simply comprises simple circular ring navigation hyperlinks, in a link exchange the HTML code causes the display of banner advertisements, for the sites of other members of the exchange, on the member web sites, and webmasters have to create such banner advertisements for their own web sites.[1][2][3]
The banners are downloaded from the exchange. A monitor on the exchange determines, from referral in ...

Yankees put Chien-Ming Wang on DL because of hip problem
Wang was placed on the disabled list following Friday night's 5-4, 11th-inning loss to the Red Sox, with a condition general manager Brian Cashman called "weak abductor muscles in his hips," a problem diagnosed by Dr. Mark Lindsay, the rehab specialist currently working with Alex Rodriguez in Tampa.
Wang was examined by Lindsay on Thursday, as the Yankees searched for answers after the former ace opened the season 0-3 with a 34.50 ERA.
"That's what's preventing the power. It all has to do with the Lisfranc issue," Cashman said, referring to the ligament tear in Wang's right foot that cost him the final 3-1/2 months of the 2008 season. Wang will work with Lindsay to rehab the hips for the next 10-14 days, though he will continue a throwing program during that time. Cashman had no timetable for Wang's return.
Dave Robertson will join the Yankees today to take Wang's spot on the roster. Wang's next turn in the rotation would have come Tuesday in Detroit. Phil Hughes is the obvious candidate to replace him, as he would be on normal rest after improving to 3-0 with a 1.86 ERA in three starts for Triple-A Scranton on Thursday.
MAY FLOWERS: A-Rod told Joe Girardi via text message that he feels as good as he has since he started his rehab from hip surgery, but Cashman said Rodriguez remains at least a week away from playing in minor-league rehab games.
"Alex told me that it was his best day yet," Girardi said shortly after receiving the text messages. "He felt stronger hitting, running, throwing and fielding than he has at any point in this rehab process."
Girardi said the target date for A-Rod's return remains May 15, though he added, "Maybe we get him earlier, maybe we don't."
OVER AND OUT: Cody Ransom suffered a right quad injury while stealing second base in the eighth inning of Friday night's game and was placed on the 15-day DL. Ransom remained in the game and advanced to third base on a groundout, but he removed himself after that play. The Yankees will make a roster move to add an infielder before today's game. ... Mark Teixeira recorded his 1,000th career hit with an infield single in the third inning. ... Friday night marked the first time in 10 games the Yankees didn't hit a home run.
